Stretch Fabrics such as Lycra and Knits This thread is made of a central core of continuous filament polyester with staple polyester spun around the outside. It is a 100% polyester core spun thread used when stronger and more abrasion resistant standards must be met. Sewing applications: Top stitching, plain stitch sewing, overlocking, button holes, button sewing, cover stitching, bartacking and cornelli. Strength 50: Used for the manufacture of childrenswear, gymwear, jodhpurs, leatherwear, lingerie, menswear, schoolwear and swimwear. Strength 75: Used for the manufacture of childrenswear, gymwear, jodhpurs, leatherwear, lingerie, menswear, schoolwear and swimwear. Strength 120: Used for most fine fabrics, stretch fabrics, and lycra for the manufacture of general fashion wear, children’s wear, gymwear, knitwear, lingerie, menswear, schoolwear, sleepwear, sportswear, swimwear, underwear as well as for cornelli applications.
